Ice cream designs

So my teacher Chris Payne has given us the lovely task of designing pint size ice cream containers... I really enjoyed what I've done with it so far. I created a company idea based off of tea flavors so my company name is "tea four two" and I went with a very whimsical flavor "Tangerine Dream" and tried to make it as trippy as possible. I have a new love too. it's called Myfonts.com it has a ton of amazing fonts that I played around with for the design and the company logo.

Which (yes I know) Jim Janek posted yesterday.... anyway the only idea I've come up with is to do Tobias in a pose imitating the "Birth of Venus" in front of the stair car... if anyone has any better ideas for an illustration please let me know cuz I'm stumped at the moment.... I've also thought of doing a group shot but that's like basically been done a thousand times by the creators. So no I want to do a two to thee person illustration focusing on the strange quirks that most of America didn't find funny about this absolutely amazing show.. .

Columbus Zoo Billboard

This is a Billboard for a bus. The assignment is for my Humorous Illustration class. Were supposed to incorporate the logo into the piece.

 I think my favorite animal is the elephant in this one :D.  I'm not sure if I like the feathers on the eagle, if you guys could let me know what you think that would be awesome!!

Badge work for camp designs

just little sketches I'm doing for school. The sketches are a continuation of of an earlier project of a camp poster I did. I'm planning on using a similar color pallet as the on the poster.

I have this piece I'm doing for my Styles and concepts class

it's a factoid about the fact that Helen Keller was the first American to ever own an Akita dog. The Akita do originates from Japan and the people of Japan loved Helen Keller, (they called her "Saint Helen") so  she was given an Akita puppy when she visited. She ended up owning like three before she died. I found this fact out on Christmas day when my grandma was watching a dog show. Weird right? Anyway Critiques are welcome the piece isn't due for a couple days so I'm always willing to do some changes. I based my reference of the stye clothing in the 1940s and I used this painting as my reference...

So I've had this blog for a year....

And I've done nothing with it.


 But now I'm going to start. I keep hearing from people that I need to have a blog and keep people interested with me and my artwork. It's just one of the many ways I can make connections I guess. It also forces me to put something up which means I'll be drawing a lot more... hopefully. Who knows. Anyways, here I am talking to myself about the future, but all I really mean to say is...
